How Kithcal works

How do I add a family member?

Go to the Family tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap + Add member, type their name, then pick how to share the invite link (Message, Email, or Copy).

What happens when I share the invite link?

Whoever taps the link sees a page showing your family's name and a form to enter their email + their name. After they tap Join, they land on your calendar, signed in — no password required.

I lost the invite link before they joined.

Open the Family tab. Find their name under Pending invites. Tap Reset link to get a fresh one. The old link stops working immediately.

How do I sign in next time?

Go to kithcal.com/sign-in and type your email. We'll email you a 6-digit code — type those numbers into Kithcal and you're in. (The email also has a button, but typing the code is the reliable way — the button sometimes doesn't work from inside email apps like Gmail.) Even easier: set up Face ID under Settings once, and next time you just tap Sign in with Face ID — no email needed.

What's the difference between Open Slot and Sign-Up?

An open slot can be claimed by anyone in the family with one tap. A sign-up slotworks like requests — family members say "I'm available," and the owner picks one.

I claimed a slot by mistake.

Tap the event, then tap I can't make it after all. The slot goes back to open and your family gets a heads-up email.

Where do my notifications come from?

From noreply@kithcal.com. Add it to your contacts so your email app doesn't send Kithcal to spam. You can adjust which notifications you get under Settings → Notifications.
